      Hi rosni3
Thanks and they’re just by the bus stop at the eastern end, or they were, they could have taken flight by now.

Thanks – will see if I can spot them, though agree they may already have flown.

Are these bee-eaters? I was taken to see bee-eaters breeding in Sussex, on a sandy bank, a long ago when I was about 5, their site was kept secret – I can still remember looking at these tiny jewelled creatures through my grandfathers binoculars. We went with Garth Christian, who was a well-known naturalist.

      Hello Cara
I think they probably are but what a marvellous story and I’m very glad my image has made those memories flood back.
