Esoteric London has been going for over three years now and is creeping towards the 1000th post. I have built up a considerable body of work over that time and I have decided to publish my favourite posts in a book.
It will be no coffee table tome but a book to carry with you on your travels around your city or town and hopefully inspire you to get off one stop earlier than normal and find your own Esoteric London. Hopefully some of the posts included will be some of your favourites and not just mine. I am self-publishing the book which has been a massive learning curve for me, a lot of extra hard work and long hours. It has already been edited and I am currently in the final stages of the design and it will be ready to go to print this coming week. I hope to publish in October.
However, self-publishing a photographic book doesn’t come cheap and that is why I am writing this special post today. I need your help. As subscribers to Esoteric London I figured that you would be the most likely to appreciate the book and would possibly be happy to pre-order it through my Kickstarter campaign. For those of you who are not familiar with Kickstarter it is a way of crowdsourcing support for creative projects. Those who want to do so after viewing the video and reading the pitch can pledge support in return for which I have offered some very interesting Esoteric London rewards. Should my target not be reached by the due date the pledges are not activated and I will have to come up with a ‘Plan B’ to raise the funds required. If you don’t feel that you can support me financially maybe you could be good enough to publicise my campaign through your blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter followers, other social media networks or even good old word of mouth.
Thanks in advance for your help – it is much appreciated. Here’s the link …
