There are scores of taverns in the City where hundred-weights of chops are cooked daily. I know of a butcher’s shop in Chancery Lane, and of another in Threadneedle Street, and of another in Cannon Street, which daily exhibit the loins of as many sheep as go to make an average flock [...].
